• Dan Gura

Dan is an avid trail runner and mountain biker who fell in love with the Williamstown's hills as soon as he moved here in 2006. He grew up exploring the piedmont forests of North Carolina and still remembers his first singletrack ride: a 500-foot stretch of dirt trail between his neighborhood and the local library. When he's not on the trails or wrangling his two kids with his wife, Kelsey, you can find him at Sheep Hill, where he works as the Stewardship Director for the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation.

  • Bill MacEwen

Bill grew up in the Laurentians and spent his free time exploring the mountains on skis and bikes. He competed in the Canada Cup, NORBA & eventually qualified for World Cup events. Racing bikes brought him to trail networks across the continent, and allowed him the opportunity to build trails and consult on tracks that 20 years later are still in use. When he is not riding bikes, Bill is off on adventures with his wife Nicola & two girls Quinn & Willow.

  • Marc Mandel

Marc's first mountain bike was a circa 1990s purple Specialized Rockhopper - foreshadowing? Marc and his family moved to Williamstown in 2017, and since then have jumped head first into mountain biking and Nordic skiing. Marc and his kids, Ben and Eliza, have made an attempt at building their first trail in the woods near their home - "Rough Draft", and look forward to helping establish more mountain bike trails in the Williamstown area. When not on two wheels or skis, Marc works for Williams College as the Head Men's Rowing Coach and Assistant Professor of Physical Education, leading courses in Nordic skiing and mountain biking.

  • Lewis Collins

Lewis grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee and attended Williams College, where he learned to embrace the cold and met his wife Cary. They fell in love with the Berkshires and currently divide their time between the Boston area (where Lewis is the General Counsel for GW&K Investment Management) and Williamstown. They are avid lovers of the outdoors, and Lewis enjoys time in the woods on foot, mountain bike, snowshoe or ski. He is active in several New England based charitable organizations and is a regular participant in masters cycling races throughout New England (and occasionally destination events like the Leadville Trail 100 Mountain Bike Race), where he has learned to love mid-pack finishes.

  • Katie Keith

Katie is new to biking but enthusiastic to join the broader community. She hails from Bozeman, Montana where she grew up recreating in the mountains. She now is a professor in the Computer Science department at Williams College and can often be found on rides with her partner, Roger, and their two dogs, Hawi and Velma.
